Barry Broad is a member of the California Agricultural Labor Relations Board, which he was appointed to by Governor Gavin Newsom in 2019. The ALRB is a five-person board which adjudicates the collective bargaining rights of California’s agricultural workers.

From 1995-2018 he was the founder and the principal of Broad & Gusman LLP, a Sacramento law firm specializing in governmental relations, which represented a number of labor organizations and other clients.

Prior to establishing Broad & Gusman, Barry was an attorney for the California Teamsters Public Affairs Council and the California Public Employment Relations Board.

He is also an author, having published three novels. Barry resides in Sacramento, California.
